Elena Willis + Jason Sanchez

Biography: Elena Willis Elena Willis was born in Banbury, England, in 1979. She studied photography at Concordia University and graduated in 2003. Her work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe. Most recently, her work was exhibited in Nanjing, China, as part of a yearlong touring group exhibition of Canadian photographers throughout China, organized by the Alliance Française. Elena has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards namely by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. She thoroughly works on every detail of her photographs, capturing the final product using a large format film camera. Elena¹s work is part of collections in Canada, Europe and the United States. She currently lives and works in Montreal.
Biographie: Elena Willis Elena Willis est né en 1979, à Banbury en Angleterre. Elle a étudié la photographie à l'Université Concordia et a obtenu son baccalauréat en 2003. Son travail a été exposé au Canada, aux États-Unis, en Asie et en Europe. Plus récemment, son travail fut exposé à Nanjing en Chine dans le cadre d'une exposition de groupe de photographes canadiens en tournée pendant un an dans toute la Chine et organisée par l'Alliance Française. Elena a été la récipiendaire de nombreuses bourses et prix dont ceux offerts par le Conseil des Arts du Canada et le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. Elle travaille en profondeur chacun des détails de ses photographies, capturant le produit final en utilisant un appareil photo à film grand format. Le travail d¹Elena fait partie de collections au Canada, en Europe et aux États-Unis. Elle vit et travaille à Montréal.
