Take Me Home:  Ari Bayuaji, David Butler, Michael Bishop

Ari Bayuaji, Michael Bishop, and David Butler present Take Me Home, an exhibition of works exploring strategies to re-value “found” objects derived from mass production systems. Through a process of transformation or recombination, these objects have been deprived of their original functional intent, providing avenues for formal and conceptual experimentation. Notions of craft are also challenged through a focus on process or attitude rather than on materials or technologies. The artists in Take Me Home each provide a unique perspective and approach in their use of “found” objects and how their works are situated with respect to the domestic sphere.
